Easy Fitness for everyone!

The importance of Cardiovascular training.

We will be going over the importance of cardiovascular training and the benefits from it in future blog posts, but it's best to start off with easy fitness that anyone can get started with. I personally believe that everyone should be aiming for at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. That said, life is busy! Particularly now that life is beginning to return to normal post-Covid (or as post-Covid as we can get). We have work, family, school and so many other important things going on which take up most of the time throughout the day, but something as simple as a 30-minute walk can make a huge difference in your health and overall live. It's only 30 minutes and if you really value your family and friends or your ability to work, then this could be the most important 30 minutes of your day!

Why? Well, regular exercise will decrease your chances of suffering heart disease, Type 2 Diabetes, and even some types of cancer. That is a pretty good reason to take 30 minutes to yourself and exercise! What's more, it will increase your mood, help you sleep better and improve your mental health. Sounds to me like you might even be more fun to spend time with too!

30 minutes of daily exercise.

Now, when we say 30 minutes of exercise daily, that does not mean you have to head to the gym or try and test your stamina with a local exercise class. 30 minutes can be as simple as taking a 15-minute walk away from your office (or house) at lunchtime (then a 15-minute walk back and you are done with your 30!). You could even choose to take a bike to work instead of your car or walking the kids to school instead of driving. Things you have to do anyway, might as well do it while getting some exercise! Great options for exercise at a low cost that you can do at your own pace and level are swimming, cycling, walking, and jogging.

The hardest part of exercising is starting and staying consistent, but I have yet to meet anyone who regretted it once they added it to their daily routine. Try a few different activities and see which one you enjoy the most and NEVER feel guilty for taking some time out to improve yourself and your life/health. Always remember, everyone is beginning at some point, even Olympic Champions had to start somewhere! Make today your start!
